Submissions update Date: May 23, 2009 5:54:04 PM PDT Author: Ani The Committee (yet to be named) has a meeting on tuesday night to finalise the community proposal/submission and we are hoping one of our local MPs will also attend to give us an idea of local governments stance on this issue. Interestingly enough the global warming issue (whether you believe in it or not) may be very helpful to our cause as the government and local bodies are in process of being made responsible for putting measures into place to deal with rising sea levels etc! Positive submission hearings Date: Jun 9, 2009 1:23:18 AM PDT Author: Ani Another very positive submission delivery to HB Regional Council today and many thanks to Keith Newman for that! Keith is a very talented writer and powerful speaker and we are very fortunate to have him on our WOW team. Further update: HDC called us in to a special meeting last monday to advise us they are considering putting $100,000 into the kitty towards our proposal. This is a step in the right direction.
